Maximizing Warehouse Space

Producing and storing enough products to meet high customer demand without increasing warehouse space is a dilemma faced by many companies.

The Challenge
An emerging electronics company that produces leading-edge telecommunications technology had a two-fold challenge: It needed to increase the number of units that could be stored in its existing warehouse space and it needed to reduce the cost of its product packaging.

The MHA Solution
MHA Packaging was asked to help the company solve its dilemma. MHA's approach was to redesign the company's packaging with warehousing limitations in mind. MHA packaging design allowed more products to be stored in the existing warehouse space and reduced the overall size of the packaging to make it easier to handle, store, and ship. It also reduced the overall costs.

The Result
The redesigned packaging allowed the company to maintain 300 percent more product inventory for uninterrupted shipping. Because the new packaging was 20 percent smaller than the original design, it made the packaging easier to handle, store, and ship. More importantly, the new design slashed the company's packaging budget by nearly 50 percent.
